RADPAC Group– Planning Advisory Committee- Tim Schaller, Matt Sprouse, Darren Green, Brian McCarthy, Hedy Fisher, Pattiy Torno
RAD PAC is the sub committee for RADBA that reviews, on a completely voluntary basis, any and all projects that are seeking to be built in the RAD, including all infrastructure projects, with the intent of doing the leg work and bringing condensed information to the RADBA meetings. They meet on an as needed basis, usually at 7:30 or 8am @ the Wedge Foundation. Let Tim Schaller know if you want to be included here.
In the near future, they hope to be looking at Jeremy Goldstein’s project on the old Park Avenue North site. Old Wood Co is exploring the possibility of a boutique hotel type hostel @ 99 Riverside Drive. Tim asked if anyone is opposed to having a hotel around here. There was no opposition at this meeting. Executive Committee will take up this task of surveying the neighborhood.
Street Renaming
The City wants to rename Park Avenue North as it is a duplicate street name. This renaming would effect 6 parcels from Roberts Street Studios back up the hill to the small house that burned last year. Jeremy Goldstein is the lead here as he is a property owner who is pursuing a mixed used project on this street and needs to know what to call it! Stuart Rohrbaugh and Jeremy have a list of names that include Thunder Road Way, Thunder Road Lane, Artist Way, Artful Way… this process is cumbersome but we will stay informed.
