RADPAC Report Tim Schaller (Committee Chair / Owner Wedge Brewery)
Tim Schaller: Jeremy Goldstein is going to bring plans about his development in a upcoming meeting, RADPACs initial reaction to Jeremys development is having apartments and permanent residents is a great thing. Concerns: Create larger studios ….and the on going issue for the district : PARKING

-95 Roberts: Broken into often, owner has hired security
-Everyone wants more traffic stops in the RAD and 59 traffic stops have happened since Halloween.
-Still working on evicting homeless camps in the area.
City of Asheville – RADTIP Update

-The City of Asheville invites the community to celebrate the unveiling of new public art installations at 3 p.m. Nov. 30. The event will start at Jean Webb Park at 30 Riverside Drive, and end at the Craven Street Boat Launch at 190 Riverside Drive. The purpose is to highlight the greenway, art and the community. Big Fish, a large metal sculpture created by local artist, David Earl Tomlinson, will be unveiled.
-Contractor hired for the west side of the greenway, all the camps have been moved.
MOU: request has come up to print additional signage for construction: Currently business owners experiencing issues from construction paid out of pocket $500 a piece to create 2 signs. These signs can be used in other parts of the district in the future…Can this money be refunded to the business owners from the MOU? Motion to approve… Approved by all.

RiverLink Update Garrett Artz (RiverLink Exec. Director)
-Awarded grant to do watershed study in the River Arts
Looking at 4 streams that flow though, and the water quality. They will be coming up with projects to help improve the waterways.
-Grant funding also received to do stream restoration Smith Mill Creek

One Neighborhood Update – Kathryn Adams
Proposed Program: An educational collaboration between OpenDoors of Asheville and North Carolina Glass Center for the River Arts District One Neighborhood Project Goal: The creation and implementation of arts-focused educational program directly serves the missions of North Carolina Glass Center, OpenDoors, and One Neighborhood. This collaborative arts education project provides children enrolled in OpenDoors programs access to creative afterschool activities, including hot glass workshops, at North Carolina Glass Center.
This two main workshops will be flame working studio where the kids will learn safety and get take away items and the creation of centerpieces that will be featured for sale at Open Doors’ annual gala and auction, Art Affair. Supervised by professional glass artist instructors, students will work in groups to sculpt, blow, apply color, and pattern to molten glass.
NC Glass Center Programs – Katherine deVos Devine
An anonymous $100 match for anyone at the RADBA meeting who wants to support the One Neighborhood project was offered! Total $1600 was raised .. THANK YOU!

No meeting in December. Happy Holidays! January 29, 2019 Meeting will be at District Wine Bar (In the Wedge building) @ 4pm!
